REUNION NEWS

  It was great to see everyone who attended our 30 year class reunion. We missed those of you who weren't able to attend and hope you're all doing well.

In 1977, the U.S. population was 220,239,425; Jimmy Carter was President; the median household income was $13,572; a first-class stamp cost 13 cents; gasoline hit a record high of 62 cents a gallon; milk was $1.68 a gallon.

The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Bee Gees, Barbara Streisand and Debby Boone topped the charts while The Ramones, Patti Smith, Television, The Sex Pistols, The Clash and others were revolutionizing music.

In Hollywood, Richard Dreyfuss, Diane Keaton, Jason Robards and Vanessa Redgrave were at the top of their craft, while in South Knoxville, we, the South-Young class of 1977 were the stars.
